VETERAN'S DAY
Sharon Elementary celebrated Veterans Day by hosting lunch for veterans, making cards and gifts for veterans, and participating a closed circuit Veterans Day Program to honor our veterans. A dessert bar provided by the faculty and staff rounded out the activities.

New Outdoor Classroom for Sharon Elementary
This past spring, former student, Christopher Steele had a special request for Dr. Callahan. After many years of hard work and dedication, Christopher was in search of a location for his Boy Scout Eagle project. His project was the last task to be completed and would earn him the highest advancement award the Boys Scouts of America offers to scouts, the Eagle Scout Award. He wanted to build an outdoor classroom here on our campus. In the green space near the bus parking lot. There is a stage with an enclosed whiteboard, a podium and eight benches where teachers can take their students outside to have class.
Christopher attended Sharon Elementary from 2007 through 2010 and is now in 9thgrade at Loganville High School. Throughout his eight years in scouting, he attended every den, pack and troop meeting with determination to achieve his goal. Eagle candidates must earn 21 merit badges, serve in leadership positions, be active in their troop, live by the Scout Oath and Law, and successfully complete a community-related service project. As a member of Troop 81, Christopher earned 26 merit badges, became a member of Scouting’s National Honor Society, the Order of the Arrow where he holds the elected position of Chapel Chief.
